Abstract :This article examines all aspects of the EU Presidency. Its begins by defining what EU Presidency means and its institutional role and place. By summarizing the developmental aspect of the Presidency in the European Communities, the focus is the legal foundations of the Presidency. Afterwards, the tasks and functions of the Presidency are explained.The articlc. not only treats the Presidency in detail, but also by inclusion of recent debates on reforms.
