Abstract :Guidance and psychological counselors offer various duties and responsibilities relevant to special education. Professional knowledge and skills significant to these duties are acquired through undergraduate and postgraduate education. Research on special education serves as a crucial source of information in supporting knowledge and skills while imparting current knowledge. This study investigates the research on special education within the domain of guidance and psychological counseling, focusing on basic descriptive characteristics to identify trends and evaluate findings. This study included 13 articles published between 2015 and 2024 that met the specified criteria, utilizing a traditional survey design. Descriptive findings from content analysis indicate that the quantitative method was predominantly employed in the studies (53.8%) along with with survey (38.5%), and phenomenology (38.5%) designs. Research indicates that 46.2% of the studies examined the perception of self-efficacy within the context of special education. The analysis of the articles has led to the conclusion that there should be an increase in theoretical and practical courses for various disability groups provided by special education specialists in order to enhance self-efficacy perception. To enhance the quality of guidance and counseling undergraduate programs, it is essential to create a comprehensive framework that integrates both theoretical and practical skills aimed at boosting the self-efficacy of counselor candidates and future special education studies.Keywords : Rehberlik ve psikolojik danışmanlık, özel eğitim, doküman incelemesi
