Abstract :Özet 1 :  Son yıllarda dünya genelinde artan petrole bağlı enerji tüketimleri sonucu sera gazı salınımı artışıyla ekosistem tahribatı ve küresel ısınma artışı meydana gelmiştir. Bu durum alternatif olarak yenilenebilir enerji uygulamalarını gündeme getirmiştir. Bu kapsamda çalışmanın amacı Düzce ilindeki tarımsal ve hayvansal atık kaynaklı biyogaz ve kompost gübre potansiyelini belirlemektir. Bu amaçla, Türkiye İstatistik Kurumuna ait veriler incelenmiştir. Düzce İli’nde bir yılda elde edilen ortalama biyokütle miktarı ve biyokütlenin ortalama ısıl değerleri hesaplanarak Düzce İli için biyogaz ve kompost gübre üretim potansiyelleri belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçların etkin ve faydalı bir şekilde kullanılması için çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Özet 2 :  In recent years, increased petroleum-related energy consumptions around the world has resulted in increased ecosystem damage and global warming with the increases in greenhouse gas emissions. This situation has brought renewable energy applications to the agenda. In this regard, the aim of this study is to determine the biogas and compost fertilizer potential of Duzce province for agricultural and animal waste sources. For this purpose, the datas of the Turkish Statistical Institute have been examined. In the study, biogas and compost fertilizer production potentials were determined for Duzce province with the calculation of the average biomass quantity and average biomass calorific value obtained in one year in Duzce. Various proposals have been made for the effective and useful use of the results obtained.
