Abstract :ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to present a systematic literature review of studies on violin education in Turkish music conducted between 2014 and 2024. The reviewed studies are categorized by type, year, university, research method, and subject distribution. Using the PRISMA guidelines, a total of 436 records were screened, and 70 studies were included in the final analysis. The findings reveal that a total of 70 studies -43 theses and 27 articles- were conducted on Turkish music violin education between 2014 and 2024. While there was a noticeable increase in the number of theses in 2022, the highest number of articles was published in 2021 and 2023. The study also shows that the majority of the research adopted a qualitative research method. While performance analysis was the most frequently addressed topic in the articles, content analysis was the most common in the theses. Finally, this review provides evidence that most of the included studies focus on the analysis of prominent violinists who have become influential figures in Turkish music performance, in order to define the stylistic characteristics of Turkish music violin performance through concrete data.
