Abstract :This study examines the function of digital platforms as new public spheres, exploring how they operate within the context of the media transformation brought about by information and communication technologies. The study\\\'s aim is to analyze how news related to teacher appointments is represented on the memurlar.net website, specifically for the period between May 1 and May 13, 2024. Designed with a quantitative content analysis method, the research investigates factors such as the news outlet\\\'s publication policy, the number of news items, their format, the sources used, and the representation of the problems faced by unappointed teachers. The selected timeframe is significant because it covers a critical period encompassing the beginning of application submissions and the announcement of official results. The findings of the study reveal that the memurlar.net website, by performing the act of digital journalism, fulfills a public sphere function, creating a space for users in their role as content creators to express themselves. This research evaluates the role of digital journalism in social representation and the contribution of online platforms to the formation of public discourse.
