Abstract :Antonio Munoz Molina, who is the most prominent writers of contemporary Spanish literature, is a very successful fiction creator of timing technique which is one of the significant techniques of modern fiction. The writer reduces the external timing period to 24 hours and creates the first time level; using internal monologue and stream of consciousness techniques, he establishes the second time level by going back into a period of time of 20-30 years. Time is used as a symbol to show how man can get rid of the depressive, pessimistic psychology created by the war and seek refuge in dreams and how he can turn back to the welfare period in the past times. With respect to its spirit and form, we can consider this novel as a "time novel", in addition,detective fiction of the novel is a key to introduce the political and historical panorama after the war time.
