Abstract :The main purpose of this study is to analyse the relationship between teachers` perceptions of organizational silence and their motivation. For this purpose, it was investigated whether there was a significant relationship between the perceived organizational silence and motivation of the teachers working in primary, secondary and highschool. In addition, changes of the perception of organizational silence and motivation of teachers were investigated in terms of gender, age, education level, duration of service, branch, level of education of the teachers and type of school parameters. Correlational screening model was used in the study. Universe of the study consisted of 155,039 teachers working in the province of Istanbul in the academic year 2018-2019. The sample of the study consisted of 383 teachers working in Istanbul, Beşiktaş, Şişli and Kağıthane districts. Organisational Silence Scale prepared by Kahveci and Demirtaş insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2013); and Professional Motivation Scale prepared by Ural insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(1996); by following up Layered Random Sampling Methodology were used for 383 participants. It was observed that there was a positive and meaningful relationship between teachers` perception of silence and motivation of teachers. According to the results, while teachers` silence levels increased, motivation levels also increased; while the level of silence decreases, motivation levels decrease.
