New Distributional Data on The Fauna of Noctuoidea (Lepidoptera) from Türkiye

Abstract :This study was conducted in Adıyaman, Şanlıurfa and Malatya provinces located in the southeastern Anatolia region of Türkiye between 2022 and 2023. As a result of field studies, a total of 53 species belonging to both families were identified. 20 of these species were recorded for the first time in Adıyaman, 19 in Malatya and 2 in Şanlıurfa. The identification of the species was supported by literature, and the regional fauna list was updated by comparing with previous studies. The new records detected especially in Adıyaman and Malatya provinces reveal that the Lepidoptera fauna in these regions has still not been sufficiently investigated. The obtained data both contribute to the country\\\'s fauna and constitute a basic reference for monitoring potentially harmful species belonging to the Noctuoidea superfamily.
