Abstract :Cervical cancer is one of the most important types of cancer that is caused by the Human Papilloma Virus and affects women. HPV is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases among young women and men. This study aimed to compare the knowledge of male and female university students studying in the field of health about cervical cancer, HPV infection, and their awareness of HPV vaccine. A cross-sectional questionnaire was used, which was appropriate for both male and female students separately. A total of 100 university students attending a foundation university were asked to fill out a questionnaire by taking a consent form. It was observed that sexually transmitted diseases, HPV, HPV vaccine, cervical cancer and risk factors, and PAP smear awareness were not very high.
