Abstract :The third industrial revolution introduced automation technology to factories. Thanks to this technology, the process of automation of repetitive processes in factories began. This process is unidirectional and can be expressed as the implementation of human commands by the machines (robots, conveyors and other machines) in the factory without any modification. With the Fourth Industrial Revolution, machine and human collaboration has gained importance and the concept of smart factory has come to the fore. Smart factories have both advantages and weaknesses, opportunities and threats. This study aims to examine the advantages and opportunities, weaknesses and threats that the smart factory infrastructure can provide to businesses by using the SWOT analysis method. In this context, document analysis, one of the qualitative analysis techniques, was used in the study. The study sample consists of all documents in the references section. The snowball method was used in sample selection. As a result of the study, it was seen that the smart factory infrastructure provides great advantages to businesses. However, it is concluded that cyber security threats and unqualified employees are among the issues that need to be emphasised by businesses.
