Abstract :Roman yazarı Iris Murdoch, aynı zamanda bilim çağı insanının içsel çelişkilerinin farkında olan modern bir filozoftur da. Ona göre, bu çağın tek kurtuluş aracı, Murdoch’ın din’le değil de metafizikle bağdaştırdığı ahlaki değerlerdir. İyi’ye ulaşma yolundaki her girişim aşkın bir deneyimdir. Bu makalede Nuns and Soldiers romanındaki sanatçı Tim Reede karakterinden yola çıkılarak Murdoch’ın ahlaki felsefesi incelenmiştir.
