Abstract :Bu yazıda akut batın nedeni ile opere olan, gastrointestinal cerrahi sonrası dönemde tiamin desteği olmaksızın, total parenteral beslenme alan ve Wernike ensefalopatisi insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(WE);, gelişen olgu sunulmuştur. Cerrahların, çocuk nörologlarının, pediatristlerin ve radyologların, WE için risk faktörlerini ve hastalığın belirti ve bulgularını iyi bilmeleri, klinisyenlerin, oftalmopleji, ataksi veya mental durum değişikliklerinin WE’ne ait bulgular olabileceğini akılda tutmaları gerekir.
