Abstract :Performance. The effects of musical modes and timing of their performance are crucial subjectsof music. Despite the fact that the effects of musical modes vary among people, it is likely tobenefit from such experiences which had been achieved through years and reflected in musicalsources. We have been meeting these knowledges in classical resources since XIII. Centuries aboutmusic’s effects according times and regional human characters. Moreover, our music theoreticiansdescribe some knowledges about harmony between lyric and composition also. In Turkish Music,while some modes express sadness, grief and distress, the others give human happiness, delight andenthusiasm. There are the same characters in poetries also. So a compositor must chose the modesuitable the structure of poetry. In our study, we aim to reconsider the subject within the contextof musical approach at present and make an evaluation
