Abstract :In this paper man’s giving thank to God and God’s giving thank to man will be examined. Thismatter has been given much importance in Islam, thus being referrred to in the Qor’an more thanseventy places. Although it has been stated in the Qur’ân that Allah loves his servants who givethanks to God and hence will be grateful to them, at present some of Muslims do not know thismatter sufficiently. Therefore we tried to clarify how Abu Mansur al-Maturidi, one of the prominentMuslim scholars, dealt with this matter, so that a contribution be made to the sound understandingof religion
