Abstract :The sense of belonging and internal motivation and motivation levels that midwifery students develop during their education significantly affect not only their academic success during their studies, but also their acceptance of professional roles after graduation, their ability to take responsibility, and their professional satisfaction. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine the relationship between midwifery students\\\' professional motivation levels and their perceptions of professional belonging. The analytical-cross-sectional study was conducted with 246 students enrolled in the Midwifery Department of a university in western Turkey. Research data were collected using the “Personal Information Form,” the “Motivation Sources and Problems Scale” and the “Midwifery Belonging Scale”. Research data were evaluated using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Pearson\\\'s correlation test. The study found that the mean scores of students on the “Motivation Sources and Problems Scale” and the “Midwifery Belonging Scale” increased statistically significantly in parallel with their class level. In addition, the study found a positive, high-intensity, significant relationship between students\\\' motivation levels and their levels of belonging in midwifery. In the study, it was observed that the students\\\' motivation levels and midwifery belonging levels increased with the grade level and there was a positive and highly significant relationship between these two concepts.
