Abstract :Signal processing involves techniques that improve our understanding of information contained in received ultrasonic data. Simulation and data processing in ultrasonic testing plays an important role for analyzing results and performance demonstration. Another very common application is the design and optimization of inspection methods. However, comprehensive understanding of the processes taking place in the testing specimen is available only by fully investigating testing instrumentation and method. It includes analysis of the wave propagation in the structure under investigation and analysis of the characteristics of the instrumentation being used. This paper describes the digital signal processingtechniques for ultrasonic wave propagation, which is validated for experimental study.
