Abstract :Aralık 2019 tarihinde Çin’de başlayan “ağır akut solunum sendromu koronavirüs 2”nin (“Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2”, SARS-CoV-2) neden olduğu koronavirüs hastalığı 2019 (“Coronavirus disease 2019”, COVID-19) salgını, kısa sürede tüm dünyaya yayılmış ve Mart 2020’de Dünya Sağlık Örgütü tarafından pandemi ilan edilmiştir. Şimdiye kadar, tüm dünyada üç milyondan fazla insan etkilenmiş ve iki yüz binden fazla kişi hayatını kaybetmiştir. Bu derlemede COVID-19 ve SARS-CoV-2 hakkındaki mevcut bilgiler özetlenmiştir.
