Abstract :ABSTRACT Nitrogen oxides insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(NO X ); are powerful emission resources. Because of their toxic properties, nitrogen oxides in stack gases must be removed. In this study, removal of NO 2 in stack gases was investigated in packed column. For this aim, NO 2 gases were produced via reacting copper and nitric acid. The formed gas was mixtured with air, and mixture which has various concentrations was sent to the packed column. Bentonite was used as an adsorbent, and glass beads were the supporting material. The NO 2 gases leaving the column which were not adsorbed on the packing were absorbed by passing from two series washing bottles filled to the water. In this study, it was observed that the adsorption yield decreased with an increase in initial concentration, and the adsorption capacity of bentonite was determined 3 moles of NO 2 per kg.   Key Words: Adsorption, nitrogen oxides, bentonite, packed column
Keywords : Adsorption, nitrogen oxides, bentonite, packed column
