EFFECT OF ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION ON TOTAL PLASMA T3, TOTAL PLASMA T4 AND TSH HORMONES IN MOLERAT (Spalax leucodon)

ABSTRACT The effects of ultraviolet insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(UV-C); irradiation on the plasma total T 3 , plasma total T 4 and TSH   hormones of molerats insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Spalax leucodon); have been examined. 11 molerats, approximately body weight of 150-200 g were used in experiments. Before the experiments, bloods samples were taken from the animals as control. The animals were exposed to UV-C radiation for 60 days insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(eight hours a day);. At the end of 7 th , 14 th , 21 th , 28 th , 45 th and 60 th days of study, the blood samples were taken from the experimental groups and then total plasma levels of T 3 , T 4 and TSH were determined. According to   results obtained from the experiments, the total T 3 and T 4 levels in plasma showed a significant decrease insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p<0.001);, while TSH level significantly increased   in experimental groups, compared to control.   Key Words :Molerat insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Spalax leucodon);, Ultraviolet insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(UV);, Total T 3 , Total T 4 , TSH.
