A PRELIMINARY RESEARCH ON MOLLUSCA SPECIES OF SOME FRESHWATERS OF SİNOP AND BAFRA

ABSTRACT The aim of this work was to investigate mollusc fauna of some freshwater ecosystems in Sinop and Bafra. The samples were obtained from littoral zones insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(0.5-1.5 m); by using handle dredge, spatula, handle oar. As a result of this study, 12 species belonging to Gastropoda and 6 species belonging to Bivalvia, totally 18 Mollusca species were determined.   Valvata pulchella   Studer,1820, Gyraulus parvus   insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Say,1817); insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Gastropoda);, Unio mancus eucirrus Bourguignat,1860 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Bivalvia); are new records for the Mollusca fauna of freshwaters of Turkey.   Key Words: Gastropoda, Bivalvia, freshwater, the Black Sea Region.
