Abstract :The level of civilization of a society can be measured with the value and importance given to human. Developed and civilized countries offer many facilities for not only normal people but also disabled / elderly. Stair lifts are one of these facilities that will make daily life of the disabled / elderly people easier. Within the scope of this paper, a conceptual design of a novel stairlift was studied. This design process is based on the systematic design approach of Pahl Beitz. The overall design process includes problem definition, formulating insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(function diagram);, creating and selecting of options. Future work is in progress for other design steps and prototype manufacturing.
