Abstract :Traditional rural houses reflect architectural elements of a region in the simplest form. In this context, this study aims to document and reveal the typologies of the construction systems and door and window formations of the traditional buildings in rural Alanya, Turkey. It is of importance to document the wooden elements that deteriorate rapidly and ensure the continuity of the architectural elements of the region. For this reason, 395 buildings in 68 villages were analyzed, their door-window types were identified, and typologies were revealed. In addition, similar studies conducted in nearby regions were screened to reveal similarities and differences. In this way, the knowledge of the architectural features of the region will be protected.
