Abstract :Two new 1,4-dioxane-Td-type clathrates of the form Cdinsert ignore into journalissuearticles values(CPA);2Minsert ignore into journalissuearticles values(CN);4.2C4H8O2 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(CPA= cyclopentylamine; M = Cd or Hg); have been prepared in powder form and their FT-IR insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(400-4000 cm-1);, FT-Raman insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(70-4000 cm-1);, far-IR insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(50-400 cm-1); spectra, X-ray diffraction insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(XRD); and elemental analyses are reported. The spectral data suggest that the host frameworks of these compounds are similar to those of the Hofmann-Td-type benzene clathrates.
