Abstract :A total of 364 Cyprinus carpio were caught in the Çernek Lake from December 1999 to November 2000. The age composition of C. carpio specimens were between I-VI years. The observed sex ratio was 1.007 female: 1 male in the studied samples. An allometric growth pattern was proved from length-weight relationships. The mean condition factor for C. carpio in the study area was 1.767. The data obtained from this study were compared with those of the other populations of the same species in other regions of Turkey
