Abstract :Nowadays, with the help of advanced imaging techniques the image orshape of an organ or organism can be used as input data. Therefore,the statistical analysis of shape has recently become more importantin the medical and biological sciences. Methods related to two-sampletests have been developed for statistical shape analysis, giving rise toconsiderable interest in research that evaluates the performance of thesetests. In this study, two sample procedures are used to compare themean shapes from the statistical shape analysis literature according totype I error rate.
