Abstract :The fact that schools account for a significant share of energy consumption makes energy efficiency solutions in the public sector important. In particular, the impact of heating, cooling, lighting, and ventilation systems on energy use makes energy efficiency solutions in educational buildings a necessity from both an economic and environmental perspective. This review synthesizes energy-efficiency interventions in school buildings (primary, secondary, and tertiary) by classifying the measures and reported outcomes between January 2007 and May 2025.
