Abstract :Archaeological studies of EBA cultural regions in Western Anatolia indicate that settlements exhibit individual variation, but no regional distinctions with clear borders. Analyses of these settlements often focus on architecture and urbanism but do not incorporate fine-grained analyses of features. The aim of this paper is to evaluate this gap in knowledge to study the benches and platforms within EBA architectural settings. We investigate benches and platforms at a regional scale, in order to evaluate whether these features display regional elements and characteristics.
