Abstract :In this paper, the Productive Structure definition is shortly revised and the deduction of the fuel impact formula is recalled. Then the Combined Cycle Power Plant, proposed previously to demonstrate the practical feasibility of the thermoeconomic approach, is considered and the fuel impact formula is applied for quantifying the effects of degradation. Finally the capability and the limits of the fuel impact approach to perform an accurate diagnosis are discussed.
