Abstract :Karaciğer sirozu çeşitli etyolojilere bağlı olarak gelişen ve temelinde diffüz fibrozis ve nodülarite olan bir klinik durumdur. Portal hipertansiyon sıklıkla bu duruma eşlik eder ve hastaların mortalite ve morbiditesine olumsuz etkileri olan komplikasyonların temelini oluşturur. Bu nedenle siroz ve portal hipertansiyonun fizyopatogenezinin anlaşılması yeni tedavi seçeneklerinin sağlanması için gereklidir. Bu derlemede nitrik oksidin fibrozis, siroz ve portal hipertansiyonun fizyopatogenezindeki rolü tartışılmıştır.
