Abstract :Using data from a sample of 250 people attending a University of the Third Age in a Southern Italian town, this research examines the impact of ICTs on psychological well-being, estimated through the administration of the WHOQOL BREF questionnaire. Discrete choice and multivariate regression models are applied; Psychological and Social dimensions, both components of the WHOQOL BREF questionnaire, have been included among the regressors. Results show that the ability to browse the internet and the frequency in the use of ICTs have a relatively significant effect on wellbeing. These findings pave the way for further analysis and comparisons within other Universities of the Third Age.
