Abstract :Pathogenic parasites including helminths and protozoa are responsible for foodborne diseases in developed and developing countries. Reports of foodborne and waterborne protozoan infections are very rare. Food and waterborne zoonotic protozoa and their transmission stages are listed in this review and it is aimed to give brief information about the food-borne zoonotic protozoa.
