Abstract :The world is facing a hidden hunger crisis, where millions of people are suffering from nutritional deficiencies despite having access to food. While much research has focused on the quality and quantity of food, recent studies have shown that soil microbial diversity may also play a crucial role in human nutrition. Soil microbes interact with plants in complex ways, influencing the absorption of nutrients and producing compounds that are essential for human health. However, factors such as intensive agriculture, climate change, and soil pollution can lead to a decline in soil microbial diversity, which may contribute to the rise of hidden hunger. In this paper, we explore the link between soil microbial diversity and nutritional deficiencies, examining the latest research on the topic and discussing potential solutions to this pressing global issue. Our findings suggest that promoting soil health and biodiversity could be a key strategy for addressing hidden hunger and improving global nutrition.
