Abstract :Alfred Hitchcock has left us with an incredible legacy of outstanding films. Traditionally regarded as a master of flawlessly edited, fast-paced suspense movies that make the audience`s hair stand on end, Hitchcock`s work has also been met with considerable critical acclaim. The groundbreaking studies by Lindsay Anderson, Jean Domarchi and Eric Rohmer/Claude Chabrol initiated a critical discourse that has not come to a standstill.
