Abstract :Supporting effective industrial sectors in the regions will play an important role in decreasing development differences among the regions. Artvin province is relatively less developed than many other cities in Turkey. Forest Product Industry has got large proportion among the manufacturing sectors in Artvin province. This sector carries significant roles for developing Artvin province in which the majority of the sector consisted of small and medium sized establishments. This study was conducted by utilizing questionnaire forms. In the study, current situation, structural analysis and problems of forest product industry were investigated. The questionnaire forms were filled in by face to face communication method. And a total of 46 questionnaire forms were filled out in 8 locations. Results showed that marketing and finance functions have not been utilized as efficently and effectively as they should have been.
