A STUDY ON SOME ROADSIDE COVER PLANTS IN TRABZON ENVIRONS AND THEIR HABITAT CHARACTERISTICS

Abstract :In this study, the floristic compositions of the cover plant species and their some habitat characteristics along the roadside in Trabzon environs were investigated. A total of 83 plots including 3 altitude-climate zone and 2 aspect groups were sampled. In conclusion, 154 plant species belonging to different families were recorded, and Galium sylvaticum in 0-400 m., Trifolium pratense var. pratense in 400-1800 m. and Thymus praecox subsp. caucasicus var. grosshemii over 1800 m. had the species according to the highest occurrence rates.
