Abstract :Plywood which is a wood based panel has many usage areas. Usage areas of plywood panels have changed among countries according to economic, sociocultural and tradition of countries. The plywood panels that are especially used as ground, wall and roof covering have supplied important advantages to building. The most important advantage is being more resistance of buildings which are covered the plywood panels to lateral forces such as earthquake and wind. It was determined that the dead rates were lesser in the earthquake disaster in the countries which have used plywood panels in their buildings for these objectives. It is known that our country is an earthquake country. For this reason, usage of plywood in buildings is very important for our country as well as other earthquake countries.
