Abstract :Background : Diagnosis management of cardio respiratory symptoms in peripartum may lead to Confusion Case presentation : We report the case of a 23 years old primiparous woman that was admitted for shortness of breath after seven days post partum. preliminary diagnosis of pulmonary embolism was made and patient received anticoagulation without improvement . Patient condition worsens and got admitted to ICU . point of care ultrasounds has completely changed the outcome . Conclusion : Cardiorespiratory symptoms onset in peripartum makes suspect pulmonary embolism first. However, other life-threatening conditions may occur in this period. Rare incidence makes unlikely thinking about them. Ultrasounds must figure in first line assessment of these patients .Keywords : doğum öncesi, kardiyomiyopati, pulmoner emboli, nefes darlığı
