Abstract :Metil alkol toksik bir sıvı olup, endüstride antifriz, boya, cila gibi birçok ürünün yapısında bulunur. Toksik doz 20-250 ml olup beyin ve beyin sapı ödemi, putaminal nekroz gibi zehirlenme belirti ve bulguları en erken 12-24 saat sonra ortaya çıkar. Bu yazıda, manyetik rezonans görüntüleme yöntemiyle metil alkol intoksikasyonuna bağlı nadir görülen bazal gangliyonlarda kanama saptanan bir olgu sunulmaktadır.
