Abstract :Giriş: Tiroid fırtınası; kötü tedavi edilmiş veya tanı konmamış hipertirodili hastalarda görülen, mortalite oranı yüksek hipermetabolik bir durumdur. Tiroid fırtınası acil serviste görülme sıklığı az, %20-30 mortalite oranı ile seyreden, bu nedenle atlanılmaması gereken tanılardan biridir. Ancak erken tanı ve uygun tedavi ile mortalite ve morbidite oranının azaltılabileceği belirtilmektedir. Olgu Sunumu: Bu yazıda, acil servise yüksek ateş ve bilinç değişikliği ile başvuran, öyküsünde hipertiroidi tanısı olan düzensiz ilaç kullanımı ve beraberinde salisilat kullanımının da tetiklediği bir tiroid fırtınası vakası sunuldu. Sonuç: Acil serviste ateşli ve bilinç bozukluğu olan hastanın ayırıcı tanısında tiroid fırtınası unutulmamalıdır.
