Abstract :This study investigates strategies for eradicating or minimizing cultism among students in Uyo Local Government Area from the perspective of teachers. The aim is to identify and categorize effective measures using factor analysis. The analysis revealed four key factors: Security Measures (including vigilance and police presence), Parental and Educational Measures (such as increased parental involvement and educational support), Student Screening and Support (focused on identifying and managing at-risk students), and Miscellaneous Strategies (addressing improved conditions and background checks). The results indicate that Security Measures with a mean of 3.51 and Parental and Educational Measures with a mean of 3.74 are prioritized by teachers. The study highlights the importance of a multi-faceted approach involving enhanced security (e.g., vigilante groups and police stations), active community participation, and targeted support for students to effectively combat cultism in schools.
