Abstract :ÖZET Araştırma, % I TiF 4 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(% 0.61 F~); içeren bir preparatm diş çürüklerine karşı koruyucu etkisinin incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. 12-14 yaş grubundaki 144 ortaokul öğrencisi kontrol grubuna, 138 öğrenci de deney grubuna alınmış ve diş çürükleri ile sonuçlan D M MF-S indeksiyle değerlendirilmiştir. Deney grubuna 6 aylık aralarla toplam 4 defa TiF 4 uygulanmış ve araştırma sonunda, DMF ve Dt.4 MF-S indekslerinde deney ve kontrol grupları arasında anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmamasına karşın deney grubunda çürük ilerleme hızının anlamlı derecede insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p<0.05); azaldığı saptanmıştır. Diş çürüklerinin lokalizasyona göre dağılımları incelendiğinde ise deney grubunda, oklüzal yüzde hem araştırma süresince oluşan yeni çürüklerde hem de bu yüzeyde çürük İlerleme hızında anlamlı insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p<0.05); düşüşler saptanmıştır. Kanımızca daha yüksek düzeyde bir koruyucu etki sağlamak için kullandığımız konsantrasyondaki TiF 4 yeterli olmamakta ve hem konsantrasyonda hem de uygulama yönteminde yeni düzenlemelerin yapılması gerekmektedir. Anahtar sözcükler: Yüzeyel TİF 4 uygulaması, çürük ilerleme hızı ABSTRACT This study was designed to investigate the caries inhibiting effect of a material consist of 1% TiF 4 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(0.61F`%);. 144 junior high school students of 12-14 years old age group were in the test group and 138 in the control The caries experience was measured by D M MF-S index. After the baseline examinations, TiF 4 was applied 4 times with 6 months intervals in the test group. The alterations in the DMF andD 1A MF-S indices of both groups were statistically analysed and found no difference however decayed lesion`s progress was significantly less in the test group than control insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p<0.05);. In regard to the distribution of caries localization, in the occlusal surfaces of the test group, both the newly formed caries and the decayed lesion`s progress were significantly lower than control insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p<0.05);. As a result, testing more concentrated TiF 4 material probably applied in a different approach than we used in this study may result in higher caries prevention of TiF^ Key words: Topical TiF 4 application, decay progress
