Abstract :ÖZET Soğuk akriliğin diş minesi üzerindeki etkisi elektron mikroskopuyla incelendi. Bunu yapmaktan amacımız çene kırıklarında kullanılan soğuk akrilikli kenetlerin diş minelerinde demineralizasyona sebep olmalarının, soğuk akriliğin depotimerize olurken eriştiği yüksek ısı ve asit oluşmasından dolayı mı olduğunu aydınlatmaktı. Araştırma in vitro olarak 10 tam gömük yirmi yaş dişi üzerinde yapıldı. Sonuç olarak soğuk akriliklerin diş minesinde madde kaybı gibi bir etkilerinin olduğu tespit olunamadı, ve demineralizasyona kenetlerin diş birikintilerini tutmasının sebep olduğu bildirildi. SUMMARY The effects of the self-curing acrylics on the enamel was with electron microscopy investigated. The purpose of this investigation was to see if the decalcyfying effect of the splints with self-curing acrylic was due to the high temperature and acid formation during polimerosation of the self-curing acrylic material. The search was carried out in vitro on 10 totally impacted wisdom teeth. A negative result so as the loss of material from the dental enamel was not observed due to self-curing acrylic effect on the enamel. The retention function of the splints was accused to be the reason for the observed decalcification of the enamel.
