Abstract :ÖZET Bu çalışmada 147 kemik metastazı olgusu incelendi. Bu olgulardan 7 sinin altçenede yerleştiği saptandı. Bu olguların mikroskopik tanıları şöyleydi; mesane karsinomu, böbrek hücreli karsinom, meme karsinomu, hipernefrom, pleomorfik adenokarsinom ve kökeni saptanamayan 2 karsinom. Bu olgulardan böbrek hücreli karsinom ve primeri saptanamayan 1 karsinom olgusunda ilk belirtiler çene metastazlarıydı. Konuyla ilgili literatür verileri, bizim bulgularımızla karşılaştırıldı. SUMMARY One hundred fourtyseven metastatic bone tumors has been reviewed. Seven of these tumors was found in the mandible. The average age for all the patients was 60.5 years. The most common symptoms were, found to be swelling and pain. İ n two cases found in the mandible, the metastasis gave symptoms and was recognised before the primary tumor. The majority of the metastatic lesions were derived from carcinoma of the kidney, breast, digestive system, lung, prostate art thyroid. The primary lesions of 7 jaw tumors recorded here were urinary bladder, kidney, breast, parotis, and two were unknown primary. Our findings has been compared with the findings recorded in the literature.
