Abstract :Anahtar Kelimeler: Kemoterapİ, tükürük, sialik asit. Bu araştırmada, tükürük siyalik asit düzeyleri, kontrol gurubuna göre anlamlı derecede az bulundu. Kemoterapi öncesi ve sonrası, hastaların siyalik asik düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir fark saptanmadı. Ancak kontrol grubu ile kemoterapi sonrası değerler arasında anlamlı bir fark bulundu. Key words: Chemotherapy, saliva, sialic acid. In this research, sialic acid levels of saliva were measured. The sialic acid levels in patients with cancer showed significant decrease, compared to control group. No significant difference found between sialic acid levels of saliva before and after chemotherapy, but a significant difference was found between the levels of sialic acids in control group and post chemotherapy.
