Abstract :This study examines the \\\"quiet quitting\\\" concept as perceived by white-collar employees and employers in Turkey, aiming to explore its meaning, causes, and impact. It seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of quiet quitting, its prevalence in the workplace, and its potential consequences on organizations. It uses qualitative methods, including semi-structured interviews and MAXQDA software for analysis, employing descriptive analysis and grounded theory to interpret findings. Data reveal that quiet quitting is linked to employee dissatisfaction, minimal engagement, and a loss of motivation. Key factors contributing to this include remote work, work-life balance challenges, lack of recognition, ineffective communication, and poor leadership. Economic pressures and social isolation, exacerbated by the pandemic, also play a role. The study proposes a model to explain the concept and offers recommendations for organizations to recognize and address quiet quitting through improvements in feedback, recognition, and leadership practices, ultimately preventing long-term negative impacts. The lessons learned from the case in Turkey are expected to provide insights for other countries with similar dynamics, potentially using the model and encourage further research on the topic in different contexts. Keywords : Sessiz İstifa, Örgütsel Vatandaşlık, Çalışan Bağlılığı, İş Tatmini, İnsan Kaynakları
