Abstract :Halkevleri, Türk Ocaklarının kapatılmasıyla Türk siyasi ve kültür hayatına damgasını vuran önemli bir kurulustu. Dogu’da meydana gelen isyanlar, rejimin bu bölgede toplum tarafından tam olarak anlasılmadıgını ortaya koymustu. Van Halkevi, Merkez-çevre arasındaki bu kopuklugu ortadan kaldırmak, yerel siyasi çekismelerden halkı uzaklaştırmak için bölgede kültürel ve sosyal bir teskilatlanma baslatmıstı. Van Halkevinin subeleriyle yaptıgı çalısmalar bölgede rejimin yerlesmesinin önünü açmıstır. A need for a new organization which will provide coordination between the central government and its surroundings. Establishing a Community Centre in Van in which there was no Party branch has been regarded as a significant attempt in terms of connection between the central government and public as events taken place in Eastern Anatolia could deepen the communication gap between the Party bodies and the community.His work paved the way for the settlement of the regime in the region of Van community center's branches.
