Abstract :Because of the decrease in fossil fuel resources and the continuous increase in energy demands, clean energy requirements become extremely important for future energy generation systems. Hydrogen is well known as an efficient and environmentally friendly energy carrier. Highly catalytic active and low-cost electrocatalysts for hydrogen production are key issues for sustainable energy technologies. Here we report an aluminium electrode modified with polypyrrole insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(PPy);-chitosan insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Chi); composite film decorated with Pt nanoparticles for hydrogen production from water. Hydrogen evolution reaction insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(HER); is examined by cyclic voltammetry insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(CV);, Tafel polarization curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(EIS); in 0.5M H 2 SO 4 . The structural properties of the modified surfaces analyses were investigated by scanning electron microscopy insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(SEM);. The stability tests also performed for aluminium electrode coted with PPy-Chi/Pt composite film.
