Abstract :A novel tetrasubstituted metal-free phthalocyanine bearing phthalonitrile groups on the peripheral positions was synthesized accidentally by the cyclotetramerization reaction of the 4,4’-insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(1,3-phenylenebisinsert ignore into journalissuearticles values(oxy););diphthalonitrile. For photodynamic therapy insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(PDT); application was described photophysical properties including fluorescence quantum yield insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(ΦF);, fluorescence lifetime insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(τF);, triplet state lifetime insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(τT); and triplet quantum yield insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(ΦT); and photochemical properties including singlet oxygen quantum yield insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Φf); and photodegradation quantum yield insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Φd); as well as magnetic circular dichroism insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(MCD); properties. The ΦT of phthalocyanine compound value was found 0.81. The obtained lifetime insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(τT); was 40 μs for metal-free Pc.
