Abstract :In this study, an automation system was developed to enhance the energy efficiency of lighting systems and prevent inefficient usage. The system, which is designed to solve the problem of excessive or insufficient lighting in working and living areas, detects and automatically controls the light intensity through sensors using curtain blinds and brightness adjustable lamps. In this way, the environment is kept at the optimal working and brightness level and energy waste is prevented. Within the scope of the working scenario, the light intensity and the amount of energy consumed were measured under similar conditions in two different rooms with and without automation. In the automated room, the light intensity was automatically adjusted by shutter movements and brightness adjustable lamp, while in the non-automated room, the light was controlled manually. In the case of comparison of the data obtained, it was observed that a more stable light intensity was obtained in the automated room and energy saving was achieved. As a result analysis, it was determined that the manually controlled system consumed an average of 10.98 W power, while the automation system consumed an average of 10.09 W power. The findings show that the automation system consumed 0.9 W less energy compared to the manual system. For a total of 6 days, the system saved 130W in lighting alone in a 20m2 room. This shows that automation systems provide a more efficient alternative by saving energy. Keywords : Aydınlatma Otomasyonu, KNX, Enerji Verimliliği, Sensör Tabanlı Kontrol, Akıllı Ev Sistemi
