Abstract :This study found a new locality (Sarıçay Stream, Milas, Muğla) of Syngnathus abaster, morphometric and some biometric features were examined in April 2024. The water characteristic was found to be fresh to brackish, with a salinity of 3 ppt. The temperature was 18.2 oC during the sampling activity. One-time sampling was carried out in April 2024. Totally, 114 S. abaster specimens were collected in 10 minutes of hand scooping. The average total length and weight for males were 8.44 1.04 cm (range, 6.46-10.50 cm) and 0.43 0.19 g (range, 0.15 - 0.91 g), respectively, while the females had 7.49 1.32 cm (range, 5.06-9.45 cm) and 0.24 0.12 g (range, 0.06-0.53 g). The whole specimen resulted in a length-weight relationship (LWR) equation as W = 0.0004. L3.15 (R2 = 0.93). The equation was W = 0.0003.L3.45 (R2 = 0.84) for the males, W = 0.0008.L2.77 (R2 = 0.85) for the females, and W = 0.003.L3.68 (R2 = 0.76) for immature individuals. The allometric condition factor for males was calculated as 0.047 0.008 and 0.039 0.008 for females. The study provided important information on habitat use and species distribution in the region, creating a solid basis for future ecological research. Keywords : Syngnathidae, Biyometrik özellik, Kondisyon Faktörü, Acı Su
